In the inaugural season of the Aces League, few teams commanded as much attention and respect as Titans FC. Emerging as the Season 1 champions, the team was not just the result of strong individual performances but a reflection of structure, consistency, and a deep-rooted sense of ownership and unity. Behind this well-oiled unit are co-owners Rishabh Lunia and Tanish Jain, whose off-field bond and leadership laid the foundation for their on-field success.

Both Rishabh and Tanish are businessmen by profession, each managing their respective family-run enterprises. Rishabh oversees Safepoint Rainwear- an umbrella and raincoat manufacturing business, while Tanish works in the jewellery industry as director of V Group of Companies. Their professional lives are demanding, yet football remains a shared passion that never took a backseat.
What started with regular midweek pickup games eventually led to them taking on a much larger commitment, owning and managing a football team. For them, Aces wasn't just another weekend tournament; it became something to look forward to, a serious engagement that could influence their mood for the week.
Their decision to own a team wasn't spontaneous. Rishabh, in particular, had prior experience as a team owner in other tournaments. With a natural inclination for leadership and management, forming a team in Aces felt like a logical next step. When the opportunity came to be a part of a more structured, well-run league through ACES, both Rishabh and Tanish were among the first to commit. They viewed it not just as a chance to play, but to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Titans FC, as a name, wasn’t chosen with a dramatic backstory but with intention. The term "Titan" symbolises strength, endurance, and quiet dominance. Rooted in Greek mythology, it represents a powerful few rather than a mighty many, exactly the kind of identity Rishabh and Tanish wanted to create for their squad. A team not necessarily the loudest or flashiest, but always among the strongest.

Throughout the season, what stood out most about Titans FC was their discipline and consistency. Players showed up on time, regularly attended matches, and rarely made excuses. Even in the absence of frequent training sessions, the team remained cohesive and serious in its approach. That sense of commitment was not just expected but deeply embedded in the team culture. Players treated the club as if it were their own, which made a significant difference in terms of unity and performance.
This wasn't a one-man show or a duo managing a group, it was a collective, a group of individuals equally invested in the journey.
The team’s values extended beyond the pitch. According to Rishabh, qualities like discipline and character are what truly defined their season. Everyone on the team carried themselves with respect, maintained a high level of professionalism, and contributed not just with skill but with intent and heart. It was less about individual brilliance and more about building something sustainable, a team that others noticed not just for their results but for how they conducted themselves.
Their professional experiences played a role in how they managed the team. Running a business requires structure, foresight, and the ability to manage people and pressure, skills that naturally transferred to the team management process. Rishabh believes that sport and work mirror each other. The resilience needed to bounce back from a goal down is not very different from handling setbacks in business. Both environments demand focus, adaptability, and a sense of leadership.
Aces, as a league, also stood out in its structure and quality. For Rishabh and Tanish, what set it apart was its limited-team format and the emphasis on quality over quantity. With tight registration caps and a curated playing pool, the standard of competition remained high, something that was appreciated by both players and team owners. In comparison to other local leagues, Aces offered a more competitive, punctual, and community-driven experience.

What also made a difference was the connection formed through the league. Football, at its core, is about people, and Aces helped foster that. For Rishabh, it opened doors to new friendships and collaborations, creating bonds that extended well beyond matchday. Players like Kabir, and founders like Joel and Aneesh, became not just acquaintances but part of a growing football fraternity.
Looking ahead to Season 2, Titans FC are in a strong position. The understanding, chemistry, and culture is already in place. Last years auction proved that clarity and conviction in selection could go a long way. The focus now will be to strengthen, refine, and push for back-to-back titles.
If there’s one word to capture the Titans FC mindset, it’s “champions.” Not just because they won—but because they showed what it takes to win the right way.
